About the role

Are you a sharp, data-led professional who enjoys bringing structure, generating insights and strategic discipline to complex delivery environments?

We’re looking for a Digital Delivery Portfolio Analyst to play a key role across a broad enterprise digital delivery portfolio. This role has a strong strategic component, with the opportunity to influence how portfolio governance, processes, systems and decision-making are shaped.

This role will suit someone who can work confidently with data, systems, PPM tooling, senior stakeholders and delivery teams — someone who can get into the detail, understand what is really happening across delivery, and then turn that information into clear insights that help leaders make informed decisions.

As Digital Delivery Portfolio Analyst, you will sit across the full Digital Delivery portfolio, providing visibility, structure and insight across digital delivery activity. You will work with enterprise portfolio information, identifying opportunities for improvement and setting best practice standards.

This is an exciting role where you will be asked to think strategically and where you will support the wider leadership team, helping to ensure portfolio information is accurate, processes are effective, and best-practice delivery disciplines are embedded and followed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide portfolio-level insights, analysis and reporting to support prioritisation, demand management, governance and strategic decision-making.

  • Monitor and report on portfolio health, including progress, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, financials, benefits and delivery confidence.

  • Prepare clear governance packs, decision papers, leadership updates, dashboards and executive-ready reporting for senior stakeholders.

  • Lead portfolio financial reporting, including budget tracking, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modelling and reporting controls.

  • Develop and maintain high-quality Excel models, trackers, reconciliations and portfolio reporting tools.

  • Act as the super user for Project and Programme Management tools, supporting consistent and effective use across the portfolio.

  • Own and embed the Digital Delivery Information Management framework, documentation standards, templates and quality controls.

  • Manage enterprise resource reporting across capacity, demand, allocation, utilisation, constraints and future resourcing needs.

  • Identify resource conflicts, capability gaps, financial risks and delivery dependencies, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.

  • Drive delivery excellence by embedding practical standards, governance routines, reporting disciplines and continuous improvement practices.

What you’ll bring to the role

At Auckland Airport, we are a busy hive of activity, and a lot of what we look for is how you would align with our AKL values All In | Tātou tatou – How we feel, Know How | Kōkiri Tahi – How we think and Let’s Go | Karawhiua – How we act.

To ensure your success in this role, you will need:

  • 5-6+ years of experience in portfolio analysis, PMO, project controls, portfolio reporting, financial reporting, resource management, or digital delivery environments.

  • Mastery-level Excel skills and strong experience creating portfolio-level financial reports, forecasts, trackers, reconciliations, and analytical models.

  • Strong report writing and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to create polished leadership packs, governance papers, dashboards, and executive-ready insights.

  • Experience developing or managing dashboards, portfolio metrics, reporting rhythms, and data quality controls.

  • Experience with project and portfolio management tools, resource management tools, document repositories, and Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and embed information management standards, documentation frameworks, templates, and governance controls.

  • Strong understanding of portfolio governance, delivery assurance, demand management, prioritisation, risk and dependency management, and benefits tracking.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, written communication, problem solving, attention to detail, and ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, Information Systems, or related discipline.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capability, including financial modelling, complex formulas, pivot tables, data consolidation, and portfolio reporting.
