Our Engineering Services business unit manages the infrastructure assets at Auckland Airport so that they effectively and efficiently serve the defined needs of our company, customers and stakeholders. The team understand that the effective management of these assets supports Auckland Airport's strategic goals and reputation. The Reliability Engineering team are a team of Engineers who are responsible for the reliability of all building services, utilities and civil assets across the Terminals and Precinct.

About the role

The purpose of the Senior ICT Reliability Engineer role is to provide and facilitate reliable Communications Assets, Networks and Systems at the Airport. This role encompasses the following major functions:

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

  • Overall management of the fibre network documentation and records
  • Contractor performance management
  • Contract administration for all contractors and/or supplier
  • Technical and financial performance administration and reporting
  • Engaging with multiple customers, stakeholders, contractors, retailers, and suppliers
  • Company contribution, especially health and safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Asset management including, reporting and maintaining of asset registers and renewal planning.
  • Supporting the Project team with design sign-off for major projects, resource management for major projects and assisting in project delivery and commissioning phases.
  • Continuous optimization of asset performance, reliability, and resilience
  • Operational budget preparation and subsequent management within approved limits
  • Measure performance and productivity of suppliers and contractors
  • Successful stakeholder, customer, and service provider engagement
  • Maintain system knowledge and records during times of rapid change

To ensure your success in this role, you will need:

  • NZ Electrical Engineering Degree, Diploma, or NZCE
  • 8 to 10years of experience in an ICT environment
  • Knowledge of relevant building services codes, standards, guidelines and compliance requirements
  • Well-developed skills as a team contributor, ability to lead, with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functional lines
  • Sound working knowledge of relevant legal frameworks in New Zealand
  • Excellent relationship-building skills at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to think strategically and cope with business complexity

Understanding of commercial realities, and well-developed business acumen
