Here at Auckland Airport, we have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic self-starter to join our dynamic team as a Landside Operations Officer.
About the role
In this role, you will work closely with other likeminded individuals to support day to day airport operations, either working in the terminals or while based in the Operations Control Centre. Your desire is to make sure travellers, visitors and employees get to where they need to be safely and securely, while providing exceptional frontline customer service so that the airport meets all requirements of our aerodrome licence, and any incidents that arise along the way are responded to quickly and appropriately.
Your key responsibilities are:
- Incident Control Room emergency response and coordination.
- Monitoring and security operations utilising systems and CCTV surveillance.
- Communications PA announcements and flight information management.
- General Operations phone service managing faults and inquiries.
- Utilise multiple online systems in the Operations Centre.
- Terminal based front facing customer interaction and queue management.
You will be required to work a roster of 6 days on and 3 days off.
3 mornings 0600-1500, 3 afternoons 1430 – 2300 with set rotations of 6 nights 2230 – 0700
What you’ll bring to the role

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes and procedures.
- The ability to make good decisions quickly in difficult/pressure situations.
- Ability to communicate (written and verbal) across a diverse range of people.
- Ability and desire to learn the role requirements through classroom training, online and on-the-job training.
- Previous experience in a customer service role and a real desire to make sure others have a positive experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Current full driver’s license.
