What you will be doing

Our infrastructure development portfolio, encompassing both vertical and horizontal infrastructure, has over $5B of work within a fully operational environment, and presents a unique and exciting challenge.

We have a number of roles available, from Procurement to Contract Management to Commercial Management where you will be working within our highly technical Commercial Services team who provide crucial support to the Programme & Project teams ensuring that sound and proactive commercial approach is applied to all aspects of the various Programmes of Work. You will need to possess a high level of commercial and contract acumen and have a proven ability to manage project risks and contract challenges and opportunities.  You will have great communication skills and be a capable negotiator and influencer.

What you will bring to the role

To ensure your success in this role, you will need:

• A tertiary level professional qualification in Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law or Finance
• A membership to an appropriate professional institution
• Experience in client-side commercial roles
• Significant experience and ability to deliver commercial outcomes for large and complex infrastructure projects/programmes
• Experience working within a programme environment in a large complex organisation, with commercial context
• Ability to present compelling & accurate reports and recommendations for a variety of audiences
• Ensuring all contacts are well managed within the financial parameters
• Provide risk management leadership
• High value contract management working on contract forms including NEC 3/4, NZS 3910 and international equivalents
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to influence, build credibility and work effectively with professional, technical and trades staff and contractors
• Demonstrated experience in negotiation and dispute resolution, including proven track record of successfully negotiating positive business outcomes
• Proactive in finding and implementing practical solutions to technical problems
• Well-developed communication and client focus skills
