What you will be doing

The Check-in Change Specialist will oversee the planning, implementation, and stabilisation of operational changes across our check-in product at Auckland Airport.

We are looking for a dedicated Project Manager to provide robust project management skills, ideally with a background in airport, airline or front of house ground handler operations.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Lead the planning, project management and execution of operational change impacted by increased automation and expanded/alternative check-in offerings
  • Ensure robust ORAT methodology is applied to all check-in changes and coordinate all operational readiness activities
  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources
  • Engage positively and constructively with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure a level of hyper care is applied to any new check-in operations following implementation, ensuring the new operations are stabilised and in a position for handover to the terminal ‘day of ops’ team

What you’ll bring to the role

To ensure your success in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business / aviation discipline or similar
  • Qualification in Project Management
  • Experience managing complex operational changes across a broad eco-system
  • 5-10 years’ project management experience in an operational or built environment
  • Aviation Industry Experience in the fields of airport, airlines or ground handler operations is preferred
  • Proven experience in risk management practices and facilitating workshops
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
